Today, spineless Senate Republicans passed Donald Trump’s so-called “Big Beautiful Bill,” but let’s call it what it really is: a Big Rip Off. Personally, I call it The Defund America Act of 2025.
This monstrosity slashes over a trillion dollars from Medicaid, kicks millions of Americans off their health coverage, and guts the social safety net working families rely on. All while handing out massive tax breaks to the ultra wealthy and corporations that already dodge their fair share. Trump did not just turn his back on the American people, he took a knife to their lifeline.
What is in the bill? Cuts so deep that hospitals are already warning of staff shortages, longer ER waits, and closures, especially in my district. It forces parents to choose between medicine and rent, seniors to navigate red tape just to get care, and kids to grow up in a country that treats their health like a luxury, not a right. The Congressional Budget Office says as many as 17 million people could lose their insurance. That is not leadership, it is cruelty in a suit.
Let me be clear: I will not sit quietly while Trump and his allies rip health care from our communities and call it beautiful. I am going to Congress to fight back, not for lobbyists, not for billionaires, but for the people who have been ignored, dismissed, and left behind. Because if they can afford tax cuts for yachts and private jets, they can certainly afford to keep our kids, our parents, and our neighbors healthy.
If you want to see me take this fire straight to Trump and the spineless Republicans in Congress, please consider chipping into our campaign. $1, 10, $100, anything helps in the fight to take down Trump and anyone standing in the way.
