Isaiah, I'm a fan of yours and I saw you speak at City Hall today. Good job, and I have something to add that is super important. This movement CANNOT be a Democratic Party - only movement. We're fighting fascism here. It CANNOT be politics as usual. There are anti-Trump, pro-democracy Republicans, Independents, folks who were apolitical till now, and former Dems who voted for Trump in 2024 and are sorry now. Are you reaching out to these groups and welcoming them in? I want to see the speakers at these protests invite them all in and call them "by name" - "pro-democracy Republicans", etc. Dems alone cannot beat the regime in power. We need every single pro-democracy, pro-U.S.-Constitution-American who wants to sweep the fascists out of power to be active in this and actively, assertively welcomed into the movement and protests. They need to be welcomed as one of us. I hear too much hate for Republicans at the rallies. Don't alienate our allies! The war between the parties is what failed our country and the world. I know you have to run as a Dem so you can have the backing that you need, but that war was lost. It now has to be every single pro-democracy American against the fascists. That's what the war is now. Let's make sure we're fighting the right war. All the other things you say I agree with, so keep up the good work!
You are running for office you say. Most People that come to this country don’t consider themselves immigrants, or less than, or cowards or afraid. They do it looking for a place to live their lives in dignity. Can you be that kind of politician?
One thing I like about 50501 is it is bringing all kinds of people together. Not just neighbors really meeting and interacting for the first time, but people across the ideology spectrum. People who are protest veterans and first timers. That's what we need. A welcoming joyful energy that is protesting to save the country we care about and demanding to treat all of us with dignity.
